Well, the crane truck came today and accomplished one of the few things I could not actually do myself- put the vigas on the house.

Today makes seven days straight that I have been working to get ready for this point. In the photo, you can see the posts and beams for the entrance (at right) and the patio (at left). I put those in earlier this week.

In the foreground is a pile of 1" x 6" decking that go on top of the vigas and sit perpendicular to them as the ceiling. I will start nailing those on as soon as I secure the vigas and nail the top plates on the pony walls.

There is still a lot to do, but I’m taking the rest of the day off to relax and enjoy the moment.
